Palm Tree Diaper Cover: Possibly the Smartest Cover (Review & Giveaway)

If you've read any of my blog posts before or read any of the posts I've written for my job with She Thinks Media, you'll note that I have primarily been a pocket diaper user.  Just recently I've ventured out of my comfort zone and tried different kinds of diapers.  I never would've thought that I would have even attempted to use a prefold that would need a cover nor did I think I would like fitteds.  I was wrong though and am happy to say that the two fitteds I do own are some of my favorite diapers. The one quality prefold that I do have is definitely another favorite especially with this great cover I'm going to tell you about.  

Palm Tree Diapers covers are a product of the Knickernappies' family.  This cover is sleek, comes in really vibrant colors (think tropical...ahem Palm Tree), and has a pretty awesome little flap that holds a prefold or flat inside of it.  

I think it's the perfect starter cover if you're new to prefolds/flats and apprehensive about trying to figure out how to fold them. The great thing is that you can fold your cloth into thirds, lay it on the Palm Tree cover, tuck the prefold under the flap and fasten to your baby!  See pocket user friendly - no Snappis or pins required. It's also very affordable. Here are my likes:
*Colors - I am a huge fan of bold colors and I can tell you that I would probably choose any one of available color choices.
*Affordability - $10.99?  Yes, please! Plus it's one-size so hopefully this cover can get you through newborn to potty training.
* PUL - Okay look at this...notice how it's not shiny? It's a two layered PUL so it hides the laminate (the shiny part).  I imagine this is probably more comfortable to wear especially during the summer months when regular PUL might be sticky.

* The Fit - I like that the fit is tight around the legs; it makes for a good fit without any gaping around Lady Bug's cute, chubby thighs.

* Ease of use - Like I said whether you're comfortable with prefolds/flats or not this cover makes it very easy to transition into using them because of the flap.  You can also put an insert in the cover and call it a day.  (If you're using microfiber do not put it directly onto baby's skin.)

Dislikes: 

* Small? - I have to say that while I like the fit around the legs I have noticed that Lady Bug isn't big enough for the second waist setting but she's too small for the tightest setting.  The Palm Tree does boast that the elastic is gentle and I do have to agree with this.  While it looks like the cover is pulling a little around Lady Bug's waist it has never left a mark.
